Hi.
My name is Charity.
Hair removal is my thing.
About me
Like most young girls, I couldn't wait for that rite of passage moment when I would finally get my hands on the little pink razor. With my legs covered in little bits of tissue, I quickly realized it wasn't all I had imagined it to be. In my very early teens, I started to become self conscious of the slightly darker hair on my upper lip (which is NORMAL and most girls have it to a certain degree!). I soon discovered cream bleach and while the hair wasn't gone, I no longer felt like I was sporting a mustache everywhere I went. Small victories!
Hair really is a love/hate thing, isn't it? I loved the scalp originating variety so much I went to cosmetology school. The face and body hair though...nothing but hate. I have bleached, plucked, waxed, shaved, epilated, and lasered in an effort to rid myself of unwanted hair. If you're here, I'm guessing you have too. Sadly, these are all just temporary solutions or simply a reduction of a permanent problem. I learned early on in the salon that I loved waxing and how it helped people feel more confident regarding their appearance. The only problem was...it just wasn't permanent.
I was introduced to electrolysis at the salon where I worked and I was immediately enamored with the concept. It always sat in the back of my mind as something I would love to do. Over two decades later, I was finally able to achieve that little back burner dream! I have spent time working as a hair stylist, nail tech, and professional photographer. This unique combination of skills has made me extremely detail-oriented and a perfectionist in my work. You have to be to go after hairs one at a time! I understand hair growth and hair removal and I love to talk about it. Through my own personal experiences, I have first-hand knowledge of how age, hormones, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, and even thyroid issues can affect your skin and hair (growth and loss). I truly understand how frustrating it is.
While I do happily provide electrolysis services on many areas of the body, God has placed in my heart a special desire in particular for helping women with Hirsutism and PCOS related hair growth. Many of them spend large amounts of time constantly shaving and waxing their faces, arms, and more. Oftentimes, even their closest family and friends will be unaware of this struggle, as low self esteem and shame often accompany this excessive, unwanted hair growth. Electrolysis can be truly life changing for these women.
Any individual suffering with unwanted hair, whether related to a medical condition or simply a desire to improve their self esteem, can reap amazing benefits from the electrolysis process. Most everyone has hair somewhere on their body that they don't want. I'd love to help you get rid of yours...permanently!
